89. Privacy and Occupant Consent

System05 shall protect occupant privacy throughout sensing, operation, personalization, maintenance, and lifecycle management.
Personal data shall be collected only for defined and legitimate purposes.
Privacy controls shall include:
- Data minimization.
- Informed consent.
- Purpose limitation.
- Access control.
- Retention limits.
- Correction rights.
- Deletion where applicable.
- Secure processing.
- Controlled sharing.
- Export and portability where applicable.
Consent shall be specific enough for occupants to understand what information is collected, why it is needed, how long it is retained, who may access it, and how consent may be withdrawn.
Withdrawal of optional consent shall not remove access to essential building functions. Where information is required for safety, law, lease administration, or system operation, the basis shall be explained separately from optional personalization.
