Stable section ID: S05-CON-010-SECTION-60 · 24 content blocks
The Building Operations AI Agent may coordinate information and assistance relating to safety, physical security, and life-safety systems, but it shall not replace certified protective systems or emergency authorities.
The agent may support:
- Alarm interpretation.
- Occupant notification.
- Access-status awareness.
- Hazard localization.
- Emergency lighting status.
- Fire-system event coordination.
- Security-system integration.
- Safe shutdown support.
- Responder information.
- Post-event records.
- Inspection and maintenance reminders.
Required fire detection, suppression, emergency communication, egress, access control, and protective functions shall remain capable of operating independently of the AI agent where required.
The agent shall not:
- Disable required alarms.
- Obstruct egress.
- Conceal safety events.
- Unlock or lock protected areas without authority.
- Override responder control.
- Treat security objectives as superior to life safety.
- Use unverified AI inference as the sole basis for high-consequence security action.
Safety and security information shall be access-controlled. The agent shall avoid exposing building vulnerabilities, occupant locations, access credentials, or emergency-system details to unauthorized parties.
Where safety and security objectives conflict, applicable life-safety requirements and authorized emergency procedures shall govern.
