31. Building Operations AI Agent Overview
The Building Operations AI Agent is the primary dedicated AI agent proposed for the initial operational implementation of System05. It supports the building after construction by interpreting its approved configuration, monitoring its physical condition, assisting occupants and facility personnel, coordinating maintenance, and preserving alignment between the physical asset and its digital records.
The Building Operations AI Agent shall operate through three distinct but connected information layers:
The Building BIOS, which provides the authoritative configuration, identities, approved relationships, capabilities, and operational limits of the building.
The Digital Twin, which represents the observed and evolving condition of the physical building.
The Building AI Clone, which interprets authoritative and observed information to provide building-specific reasoning, interaction, recommendation, and authorized operational assistance.
The agent may support monitoring, optimization, diagnosis, maintenance, occupant services, emergency assistance, and lifecycle management. It shall not assume unrestricted control over the building or independently modify protected configurations.
The agent’s authority shall remain:
- Explicitly assigned.
- Limited by function and risk.
- Sensitive to the current building state.
- Revocable by authorized humans.
- Traceable through operational records.
- Subject to safe manual and degraded modes.
The Building Operations AI Agent shall serve as an intelligent operational layer above deterministic controls, certified safety systems, and authoritative engineering records. It shall not replace them.
