Stable section ID: S05-CON-010-SECTION-58 · 23 content blocks
The agent may assist in planning the replacement or upgrade of Nodes, Cartridges, sensor modules, equipment, finishes, utilities, and other replaceable assets.
Support may include:
- Identifying the affected component.
- Confirming its identity and configuration.
- Retrieving compatible alternatives.
- Evaluating Interface compatibility.
- Identifying required adapters.
- Checking physical access.
- Reviewing system dependencies.
- Planning isolation and removal.
- Preparing installation instructions.
- Defining verification tests.
- Updating lifecycle records.
The agent shall distinguish between:
- Like-for-like replacement.
- Certified compatible replacement.
- Replacement requiring an adapter.
- Functional upgrade.
- Capacity change.
- Safety-relevant modification.
- Unapproved substitution.
A replacement shall not be considered complete until identity, installation, connection, configuration, and required testing have been verified.
Smart modules should be replaceable and upgradeable independently of the structural Node wherever the architecture permits. Replacement of a digital or sensor module shall not alter the structural status of the Node unless the physical work affects the structural Interface.
