38. Sensor Data Interpretation and Fusion

Sensor Data Interpretation and Fusion combine information from multiple sources to develop a more reliable understanding of building condition.
The agent may receive information from:
- Sensors integrated into smart Nodes.
- Centralized replaceable sensor modules.
- Cartridge condition indicators.
- Interface lock or connection signals.
- Equipment controllers.
- Environmental sensors.
- Utility meters.
- Cameras or imaging systems where authorized.
- Inspection devices.
- Occupant reports.
- External weather and hazard information.
Each input shall be evaluated for:
- Sensor identity.
- Measurement type.
- Units.
- Calibration status.
- Timestamp.
- Sampling rate.
- Location.
- Installation orientation.
- Expected accuracy.
- Communication quality.
- Operating range.
- Current health status.
Data fusion may use redundancy, correlation, physical relationships, temporal patterns, and engineering constraints to distinguish real building conditions from sensor noise or individual device failure.
Fused information shall retain traceability to its source measurements. The agent shall not present a fused or inferred result as a direct measurement.
Where a consequential decision depends on uncertain data, the agent should request independent confirmation, increase monitoring, recommend inspection, or restrict the proposed action.
