1. Purpose
This chapter establishes the constitutional architecture governing artificial-intelligence agents within System05. It defines how AI agents may observe, interpret, recommend, coordinate, and act across the engineering and building lifecycle while remaining subject to explicit technical, legal, and human authority.
The chapter ensures that System05 is prepared for progressive AI autonomy without making its initial implementation dependent on a dedicated autonomous design-to-construction agent. It provides a stable architecture through which present-day AI assistance, early operational agents, future robotic agents, and eventually more autonomous engineering systems may be introduced without replacing the underlying platform.
The primary purposes of this chapter are to:
- Establish a common definition of an AI agent.
- Distinguish AI agents from AI tools and the Engineering Compiler.
- Define agent identity, capabilities, permissions, memory, context, and lifecycle.
- Establish human authority and non-delegable engineering responsibilities.
- Prioritize operational and lifecycle AI during the initial deployment stages.
- Define a controlled path toward progressively higher autonomy.
- Prevent unsafe, untraceable, or unauthorized agent actions.
- Preserve vendor neutrality and interoperability among future agent providers.
- Prepare System05 for robotic construction and autonomous engineering systems.
AI agents shall be treated as governed participants within the System05 ecosystem, not as unrestricted decision-makers.
