41. Node, Cartridge and Interface Health Monitoring

The Building Operations AI Agent shall support condition awareness for System05 Nodes, Cartridges, and Interfaces according to their identities, functions, criticality, and available monitoring capabilities.
Monitoring may include:
- Connection and lock status.
- Alignment indicators.
- Movement or displacement.
- Strain and load-related signals.
- Temperature.
- Moisture exposure.
- Corrosion indicators.
- Seal condition.
- Electrical continuity.
- Communication continuity.
- Vibration.
- Evidence of tampering.
- Cartridge insertion or removal events.
- Sensor-module health.
- Inspection and maintenance status.
A Node may collect information from multiple physical locations through short conductors, mechanical indicators, optical paths, pressure channels, or other qualified signal-transfer methods. The smart module itself should remain accessible, replaceable, and upgradeable without requiring replacement of the structural Node.
The agent shall compare the observed condition with:
- Component identity.
- Approved configuration.
- Interface requirements.
- Installation record.
- Inspection criteria.
- Environmental exposure.
- Service history.
- Applicable operational limits.
The agent shall not assume that an unmonitored component is healthy. Lack of sensor evidence shall be distinguished from verified condition.
Suspected loss of connection integrity, unexpected Cartridge movement, or abnormal Node behavior shall trigger risk-appropriate inspection and escalation.
