60. Emergency and Recovery Assistance

During an emergency, the Building Operations AI Agent may provide situational awareness, communication, bounded protective action, and recovery support within an approved emergency operating mode.
Emergency functions may include:
- Receiving verified alarms.
- Identifying affected zones.
- Communicating instructions.
- Providing accessible occupant guidance.
- Supporting evacuation or shelter procedures.
- Isolating authorized non-critical systems.
- Preserving emergency-system priority.
- Providing responders with approved building information.
- Recording event chronology.
- Monitoring changing conditions.
- Supporting post-event inspection.
- Coordinating recovery tasks.
The agent shall clearly distinguish between confirmed emergencies, suspected hazards, false alarms, and unavailable information.
Emergency actions shall follow pre-approved procedures, certified control logic, and responder authority. The agent shall not improvise actions beyond its qualified emergency scope.
Following an event, recovery assistance may include:
- Preserving evidence.
- Identifying affected assets.
- Comparing pre-event and post-event conditions.
- Establishing restricted zones.
- Planning inspections.
- Coordinating temporary services.
- Tracking repairs.
- Updating the Digital Twin.
- Supporting authorized BIOS revisions.
- Establishing a new operational baseline.
Return to occupancy or normal service shall require the approvals applicable to the event and affected systems.
