73. Automated Installation

Automated Installation applies the Interface Protocol through robotic or machine-controlled execution.
The automated system shall receive an authorized installation task containing:
Cartridge and host identities;
intended location;
applicable interface and Profile;
target pose;
approach path;
handling parameters;
connection sequence;
force and torque limits;
locking requirements;
test requirements;
stop conditions;
- recovery instructions.
- The robot shall independently verify the observed identities before engagement.
Automated installation shall monitor:
position and orientation;
approach clearance;
contact;
engagement force;
insertion depth;
seating;
locking force, torque, tension, or travel;
secondary retention;
tool status;
interface response;
resulting physical state.
Exceeding a defined force, torque, positional, or time limit shall stop the process. The system shall not repeatedly increase force to overcome an unidentified obstruction.
Where utilities are integrated, the installation sequence shall preserve safe ordering among structural support, grounding, power, fluids, data, authentication, sealing, and commissioning.
Installation evidence shall be captured automatically and associated with the Cartridge Instance and host interface. Evidence may include:
robot and tool identity;
calibration status;
trajectory;
force-displacement record;
torque-angle record;
final pose;
images or scans;
lock verification;
test results;
time and environmental conditions.
Recovery procedures shall address misalignment, dropped components, tool failure, incomplete locking, communication loss, power interruption, and unexpected human entry.
Human supervision requirements shall be defined by task risk rather than assumed unnecessary because the process is automated.
