Stable section ID: S05-CON-005-SECTION-71 · 29 content blocks
The Cartridge Software Development Kit shall provide manufacturers, researchers, and engineering teams with the resources necessary to design and verify System05-compatible Cartridges.
The SDK shall include, as applicable:
Digital Interface Descriptor schemas;
Cartridge Passport templates;
identity-generation tools;
compatibility-validation tools;
capability-declaration templates;
state-machine libraries;
event definitions;
API specifications;
Building BIOS integration examples;
Digital Twin integration tools;
robotic metadata templates;
reference CAD interface geometry;
datum and envelope models;
test procedures;
simulator or virtual test environment;
certification-submission templates;
compliance checklists.
Reference geometry shall distinguish between:
controlled geometry that implementations must preserve;
recommended geometry;
example geometry;
manufacturer-controlled regions;
- prohibited regions.
- SDK validation shall assist developers but shall not itself constitute certification.
The SDK should support both digital simulation and physical prototyping. Test fixtures, reference mating components, calibration artifacts, and interoperability test equipment may form part of the broader Cartridge Development Kit.
SDK versions shall remain aligned with Interface Specification versions. A developer shall be able to determine which SDK produced or validated a particular Cartridge definition.
Security-sensitive credentials and certification keys shall not be embedded in public development examples.
