Section 63 of 83
62. Certification
Stable section ID: S05-CON-005-SECTION-63 · 34 content blocks
Certification is the formal determination that a defined Cartridge type, interface implementation, manufacturing process, or individual instance satisfies specified System05 requirements.
Certification may apply to:
design;
product type;
production process;
manufacturing facility;
software or firmware;
installer or technician;
individual high-criticality instance;
refurbishment process;
compatibility pair or adapter.
Certification levels shall reflect risk and evidence. A low-criticality passive Cartridge may rely upon manufacturer declaration and limited verification. A structurally or safety-critical Cartridge may require independent review, witnessed testing, production audits, and continuing surveillance.
The certification record shall identify:
certified subject;
applicable specifications and versions;
Interface and Regional Profiles;
tested configurations;
capacity and environmental limits;
excluded applications;
evidence reviewed;
certification authority;
issue and expiration dates;
surveillance requirements;
conditions of validity.
Certification shall not replace regulatory approval, licensed engineering responsibility, project-specific design, or code compliance.
Any material change affecting the certified configuration shall be evaluated. Certification may be:
maintained;
extended;
restricted;
suspended;
withdrawn;
replaced by a new certification.
Products with expired, suspended, or withdrawn certification shall remain identifiable in the Registry. Their historical records shall not be deleted.
The detailed System05 certification levels and authorization of certification bodies remain TBD.
