Section 46 of 83
45. Registration
Stable section ID: S05-CON-005-SECTION-46 · 46 content blocks
Registration is the formal creation or activation of a Cartridge record within the System05 Registry.
A Cartridge shall be registered at two separate levels:
Cartridge Type Registration Registration of the engineering design, interface definitions, classification, capabilities, evidence, and approved configuration applicable to a product type.
Cartridge Instance Registration Registration of an individually manufactured physical Cartridge associated with the approved type.
Type Registration shall occur before a Cartridge is represented as a System05-compatible product. The Type Registration package shall include:
Cartridge Type ID;
manufacturer identity;
intended function and use conditions;
classification;
dimensional and interface definitions;
Interface Control Drawings;
materials and critical components;
Capability Declaration;
operating and environmental limits;
installation and disconnection procedures;
inspection and maintenance requirements;
safety and failure analysis;
applicable test and calculation evidence;
certification status;
software dependencies;
approved Engineering Profiles;
declared exclusions.
Instance Registration shall include:
unique Instance ID;
manufacturing date and location;
batch and traceability data;
actual configuration;
critical material and subcomponent identities;
factory inspection results;
calibration data;
nonconformance and repair history;
release authorization.
A registered Cartridge shall receive a defined registration status:
proposed;
under review;
prototype;
test-only;
conditionally approved;
certified;
suspended;
obsolete;
withdrawn;
decommissioned.
Registration shall not itself prove technical compliance. It establishes identity and traceability. Certification and compatibility verification remain separate requirements.
Changes affecting external interfaces, structural behavior, safety, capability, control logic, materials, manufacturing process, or lifecycle procedures shall trigger formal review. The modified design may require a new version, variant, or Type ID.
Unauthorized copies, counterfeit identities, duplicate Instance IDs, or inconsistent physical and digital records shall cause the Cartridge to enter a quarantined or unverified state.
