Section 58 of 83
57. Regional Engineering Profiles
Stable section ID: S05-CON-005-SECTION-58 · 33 content blocks
A Regional Engineering Profile adapts System05 interfaces and Cartridges to local laws, codes, climate, materials, hazards, manufacturing capabilities, construction practices, and economic conditions while preserving the universal platform architecture.
Regional Engineering Profiles may address:
structural design codes;
seismic, wind, snow, flood, and climatic loads;
fire-resistance requirements;
electrical systems and voltage;
plumbing conventions;
permitted materials;
dimensional practices;
accessibility;
environmental exposure;
inspection and certification procedures;
locally available member sizes;
manufacturing tolerances;
workforce and tooling conditions;
language and required markings.
A Regional Profile shall distinguish between:
legally mandatory requirements;
System05 constitutional requirements;
recommended engineering values;
optional preferred configurations;
experimental or research provisions.
System05 may publish recommended, non-mandatory engineering profiles to assist manufacturers and regions with limited technical resources. Such profiles shall not be represented as substitutes for legally required local engineering approval.
Regional adaptation shall occur primarily within:
member-integration layers;
material-specific Cartridge designs;
capacity selections;
environmental protection;
regulatory evidence;
approved installation procedures.
The standardized external interface should remain unchanged wherever technically possible. If regional conditions require a different external interface, the deviation shall receive a separate Profile and Compatibility Class.
Future AI-assisted systems may generate candidate Regional Profiles from inputs such as location, code basis, climate, available materials, manufacturing technology, building use, and design loads. AI-generated Profiles shall remain proposed engineering outputs until reviewed and authorized by qualified persons.
No Regional Profile may reduce constitutional safety, traceability, identity, or compatibility requirements merely to simplify adoption.
