61. Conformance Testing

Conformance Testing determines whether a specific implementation satisfies the requirements of its declared System05 specification, Compatibility Class, Interface Profile, and Regional Engineering Profile.
The testing program shall be based upon function, criticality, novelty, variability, and consequence of failure.
Testing may include:
Documentation Review Verification of drawings, calculations, materials, procedures, capabilities, limitations, and configuration.
Dimensional and Geometric Inspection Measurement of controlled surfaces, datums, tolerances, engagement geometry, and access envelopes.
Material Verification Confirmation of material type, grade, properties, coatings, treatments, and traceability.
Functional Testing Verification that the Cartridge performs its intended functions.
Interface Engagement Testing Evaluation of alignment, connection force, seating, locking, verification, and release.
- Structural Testing Static, cyclic, fatigue, impact, deformation, ductility, and failure testing as applicable.
- Electrical Testing Continuity, insulation, grounding, heating, fault, overload, and protection testing.
- Fluid Testing Pressure, leakage, flow, drainage, contamination, and connection-cycle testing.
Environmental Testing Temperature, moisture, corrosion, dust, UV, vibration, freeze-thaw, chemical, and weather exposure.
Fire and Emergency Testing Verification of fire exposure, smoke control, isolation, emergency operation, or safe failure.
Digital and Cybersecurity Testing Protocol, authentication, authorization, update, fault-response, and communication-loss testing.
- Interoperability Testing Connection with representative products from different manufacturers.
- Robotic Testing Machine discovery, grasping, alignment, installation, verification, and recovery.
- Lifecycle Testing Connection cycles, maintenance access, replacement, refurbishment, and aging.
Test samples shall represent production configurations. Prototype samples manufactured through unusually controlled processes shall not alone establish conformance of normal production.
Acceptance criteria, specimen quantity, loading or exposure sequence, instrumentation, uncertainty, and failure definition shall be established before testing.
Failed tests and deviations shall remain traceable. Retesting shall not erase earlier results.
