72. Robotic Handling

Robotic Handling governs grasping, lifting, supporting, orienting, transporting, and positioning a Cartridge.
Each robot-handled Cartridge shall declare:
mass;
center of gravity;
inertia where required;
approved grasp zones;
prohibited contact zones;
gripping-force limits;
lifting orientation;
permitted acceleration;
support requirements;
fragility and impact limits;
cable, hose, or tether conditions;
environmental restrictions;
human exclusion zone.
Grasp features shall be related to the Cartridge body or verified load-carrying structure. Protective shells shall not be used as lifting points unless designed for that load.
Robotic handling shall not damage:
controlled datums;
seals;
electrical contacts;
fluid ports;
sensors;
coatings;
identification markers;
finishes;
primary load-transfer features.
The robot shall verify secure grasp before lifting. Where dropping could create significant harm, secondary retention or load monitoring shall be provided.
Handling paths shall account for the actual Cartridge envelope, tool geometry, uncertainty, deflection, surrounding construction, and temporary site conditions.
If the Cartridge center of gravity can change because of retained fluid, movable equipment, configuration, or installed subcomponents, the current condition shall be declared or measured.
Standard grasp interfaces, mass classes, and handling-test procedures remain TBD.
