98. Human–Robot Collaboration Modes

System05 shall define explicit Human–Robot Collaboration Modes rather than treating all shared-space operation as equivalent.
Modes may include:
- Physically separated robotic operation.
- Shared workspace with different operating times.
- Monitored coexistence with protected separation.
- Speed-and-separation-controlled collaboration.
- Force- and power-limited collaboration.
- Human-guided or hand-guided movement.
- Human-led work with robotic assistance.
- Supervised cooperative manipulation.
- Manual maintenance or recovery mode.
Each mode shall define permitted tasks, maximum speed and force, required sensing, zone controls, human roles, communication methods, stopping behavior, and transition requirements.
Mode changes shall be deliberate, visible, authorized, and recorded. The robot shall not enter a less restrictive mode merely because it recognizes a familiar worker.
A collaborative mode suitable for carrying an unloaded tool may be unsuitable for handling a heavy structural component or energized utility.
The active mode shall be unmistakable to nearby personnel through clear physical and digital indicators. Ambiguous, conflicting, or failed mode indication shall result in the more restrictive safe condition.
