20. Universal Robotic Interface

The Universal Robotic Interface shall define the common contract through which robotic systems interact with System05 components and assemblies.
It shall not necessarily require one universal physical connector for every task. Instead, it shall define a consistent architecture of interface profiles that may accommodate different component sizes, loads, functions, tools, and environments.
A Universal Robotic Interface profile may define:
- Interface identity and version.
- Physical geometry.
- Coordinate system.
- Datum hierarchy.
- Approach directions.
- Access face.
- Grasping or lifting class.
- Payload limits.
- Alignment sequence.
- Capture states.
- Locking method.
- Tool class.
- Power, data, or fluid services.
- Tolerances.
- Safety conditions.
- Inspection requirements.
- Error states.
- Recovery procedures.
- Disassembly sequence.
The Interface shall clearly separate:
- Physical fit.
- Orientation.
- Alignment.
- Temporary capture.
- Structural locking.
- Utility engagement.
- Digital registration.
- Inspection.
- Release for service.
Compatibility shall be testable independently of a particular robot. A compliant robot or tool should be able to interact with any compatible implementation of the same Interface profile within its declared operating conditions.
Interface evolution shall be version-controlled and backward-aware. Adapters may support legacy or regional implementations, but their limitations shall remain visible.
