Section 41 of 55
40. Legacy, Hybrid and Adapter-Based Integration
Stable section ID: S05-CON-011-SECTION-41 · 32 content blocks
System05 shall support robotic interaction with legacy and hybrid buildings without falsely representing unverified conditions as fully robot-ready.
A Legacy Building may lack:
- Standardized datums.
- Accurate digital models.
- Machine-readable identity.
- Predictable tolerances.
- Accessible connections.
- Known load paths.
- Defined Tool Corridors.
- Verified component information.
- Controlled disassembly features.
A Hybrid Building may contain both System05-native and conventional components. The robotic system shall identify the boundary between:
- Fully qualified System05 Interfaces.
- Adapter-connected Interfaces.
- Monitored-only legacy elements.
- Human-verified conditions.
- Inferred conditions.
- Unknown conditions.
- Robot-prohibited zones.
Adapters may provide:
- Mechanical compatibility.
- Datum conversion.
- Grasping features.
- Tool access.
- Identity translation.
- Utility conversion.
- Communication conversion.
- Temporary capture.
- Legacy-component support.
Every adapter shall have its own identity, version, load rating, compatibility declaration, inspection requirements, and limitations. An adapter shall not conceal uncertainty or increase robot authority beyond the capability of the underlying legacy system.
Legacy work may require additional surveying, scanning, probing, human inspection, temporary support, or reduced robot speed and force.
Partial robotic integration shall not establish that the entire building complies with System05 robotics requirements. Compliance claims shall identify the exact components, zones, Interfaces, tasks, and lifecycle states covered.
