12. Robotics across the Building Lifecycle

Robot readiness shall extend across the complete building lifecycle rather than focusing only on initial assembly.
During design and engineering, System05 shall define:
- Robotic access.
- Datums.
- handling features.
- Assembly sequences.
- Intermediate stability.
- Tool requirements.
- Inspection points.
- Disassembly pathways.
During manufacturing, robots may support:
- Material preparation.
- Fabrication.
- Machining.
- Finishing.
- Dimensional inspection.
- Identity application.
- Packaging.
- Kitting.
During construction, robots may support:
- Surveying.
- Site logistics.
- Lifting.
- Positioning.
- Alignment.
- Fastening.
- Utility connection.
- Inspection.
- Evidence collection.
During operation and maintenance, robots may support:
- Routine inspection.
- Cleaning.
- Sensor replacement.
- Access-panel removal.
- Cartridge servicing.
- Leak detection.
- Dimensional scanning.
- Hazardous-area entry.
- Component transport.
During adaptation and deconstruction, robots may support:
- Safe unloading.
- Utility isolation.
- Lock release.
- Cartridge removal.
- Material identification.
- Component sorting.
- Reuse assessment.
- Waste separation.
Assembly access shall not unnecessarily prevent later inspection or removal. Lifecycle robotic requirements shall be considered when finishes, panels, utilities, and protective systems are installed.
