Affordability shall not be defined only by initial unit price. Evaluation shall include:

- Rework and failure risk.
- Service life.

Quality shall mean verified fulfillment of applicable engineering, Interface, performance, evidence, and lifecycle requirements. Cosmetic uniformity alone shall not establish quality, and minor visual variation shall not be rejected where it has no defined effect on function, durability, compatibility, or agreed appearance.
Scale shall include more than high-volume centralized output. System05 shall support:
- One-off prototype production.
- Small-batch regional production.
- Mass customization.
- High-volume platform production.
- Distributed parallel production.
- Demand-responsive microfactories.
- Mobile or temporary production systems.
A production system shall not claim scalability merely because it can increase output. Scalable production shall preserve configuration control, process capability, inspection effectiveness, evidence integrity, material traceability, workforce competence, and corrective-action capacity as volume increases.
System05 shall avoid imposing manufacturing requirements whose cost is disproportionate to their engineering benefit. Requirements shall be consequence-based and shall distinguish critical characteristics from noncritical preferences.
The final objective shall be a manufacturing ecosystem in which affordability results from architectural efficiency and controlled variation rather than from hidden reductions in material quality, inspection, worker safety, or engineering responsibility.
