1. Purpose and Scope

This chapter establishes the constitutional architecture through which approved System05 engineering definitions are transformed into physical products, assemblies, production evidence, and released manufacturing records.
It shall govern manufacturing activities associated with:
- Nodes.
- Cartridges.
- Interfaces.
- Structural members.
- Panels and envelope systems.
- Utility components.
- Smart Modules and sensing components.
- Adapters.
- Fasteners and locking elements.
- Protective systems.
- Tools, fixtures, gauges, and reference artifacts.
- Factory-produced subassemblies.
- Site-produced components where manufacturing occurs outside a conventional factory.
The scope shall extend from manufacturability assessment and industrialization planning through material receipt, fabrication, assembly, inspection, release, packaging, transportation, and reconciliation of the As-Manufactured Record.
This chapter shall apply to:
- Large industrial factories.
- Regional production centers.
- Microfactories.
- Mobile manufacturing units.
- Approved workshops.
- Distributed supplier networks.
- Automated and robotic production cells.
- Human-operated production systems.
- Hybrid human–machine production.
- Controlled on-site fabrication.
System05 shall define common requirements for compatibility, identity, quality boundaries, evidence, traceability, configuration control, and production accountability. It shall not require every manufacturer to use identical machines, internal designs, processes, materials, software, factory layouts, or levels of automation.
Manufacturing conformance shall remain distinct from design approval, product certification, assembly acceptance, installation authorization, and building-level commissioning. Evidence produced during manufacturing may support these decisions but shall not automatically replace them.
Local laws, building codes, occupational-safety requirements, environmental regulations, product regulations, and contractual obligations shall remain applicable. Where a System05 requirement conflicts with a legally controlling requirement, the conflict shall be identified, documented, and resolved through authorized governance before production.
The purpose of this architecture is to make decentralized production possible without allowing decentralization to become undocumented variation, uncontrolled substitution, fragmented accountability, or loss of engineering integrity.
