Section 39 of 50
33. Member, Panel and Envelope Manufacturability
Stable section ID: S05-CON-012-SECTION-39 · 29 content blocks
Members, panels, and envelope components shall be designed for repeatable regional production and reliable integration with System05 Nodes, Cartridges, and Interfaces.
Manufacturability shall address:
- Dimensional variation.
- straightness and flatness.
- end preparation.
- edge geometry.
- attachment zones.
- lifting.
- transport.
- temporary support.
- weather protection.
- field handling.
- replacement.
Structural members shall provide controlled connection regions capable of transferring required actions through the Cartridge or Interface.
Panels shall coordinate:
- Structural behavior.
- tolerances.
- joint geometry.
- sealing.
- insulation.
- fire protection.
- utility pathways.
- cladding.
- inspection access.
Envelope manufacturing shall distinguish factory-controlled seals from field-completed seals and shall assign responsibility for continuity across component boundaries.
Materials subject to moisture, shrinkage, swelling, creep, warping, curing, or thermal movement shall be manufactured and conditioned accordingly.
Large components shall include handling and lifting provisions that do not damage Interfaces or finished surfaces.
Dimensional acceptance shall account for the effect of component size, storage, transportation, and installation environment.
Where site trimming or adjustment is permitted, allowable zones, tools, limits, treatment of exposed surfaces, and required evidence shall be specified.
