89. Replacement and Upgrade Requirements
Stable section ID: S05-CON-007-SECTION-90 · 37 content blocks
Replacement Requirements define the conditions under which one Entity may be removed and another installed in its place.
Upgrade Requirements define how capability may be increased or changed without violating the building configuration.
Each requirement shall define:
existing Entity;
replacement or upgrade class;
minimum required capabilities;
compatible Interfaces;
physical envelope;
dependencies;
isolation and support;
data migration;
commissioning;
certification;
resulting configuration change.
Example:
replacement_requirement RR_HVAC_Cartridge_001 {
existing: @HVAC_Cartridge_01;
replacement_interface_profile:
@S05_HVAC_Cartridge_Interface_02;
minimum_capabilities {
heating: 8.0 kW;
cooling: 7.0 kW;
ventilation: 250 m3/h;
};
require_recommissioning: full;
}
Replacement shall preserve the identity history of both the removed and installed Instances.
An upgrade shall be classified as:
configuration-only;
software;
subcomponent;
functional;
capacity-affecting;
Interface-affecting;
safety-affecting;
structural.
Interface-, capacity-, structural-, or safety-affecting upgrades shall require engineering validation and may require recertification.
