79. Regional Engineering Profiles
Stable section ID: S05-CON-007-SECTION-80 · 39 content blocks
A Regional Engineering Profile adapts System05 engineering definitions to local regulatory, climatic, material, manufacturing, and construction conditions.
Regional Profiles may define:
governing codes;
design loads;
seismic and wind conditions;
snow and climate conditions;
frost depth;
electrical service conventions;
plumbing conventions;
fire requirements;
accessibility;
local material grades;
available member sizes;
manufacturing tolerances;
inspection practices;
language and labeling.
Example:
regional_profile US_NJ_Residential_Profile {
region: "New Jersey, United States";
building_use: residential;
jurisdiction_status: project_verification_required;
inherits: @System05_Residential_Base_Profile;
- local_requirements: [
- @NJ_Structural_Load_Profile,
- @US_Electrical_Service_Profile,
- @NJ_Plumbing_Profile
];
}
Regional Profiles shall distinguish:
legally mandatory requirements;
System05 mandatory requirements;
recommended engineering values;
optional preferred solutions;
- unresolved local verification.
- System05 may publish recommended non-mandatory Profiles for regions with limited engineering resources.
AI may generate a candidate Regional Profile from location, climate, materials, loads, codes, and manufacturing inputs:
generation_status: ai_generated_candidate;
review_status: engineering_review_required;
An AI-generated Profile shall not become authoritative until validated and approved by qualified authorities.
