69. Engineering Requirements

An Engineering Requirement defines a technically measurable, verifiable, and traceable condition governing design, manufacturing, construction, operation, or lifecycle performance.
Each Engineering Requirement shall include:
Requirement ID;
requirement category;
subject;
source;
quantitative or logical condition;
units;
applicable configuration;
applicable lifecycle stage;
verification method;
acceptance criterion;
evidence class;
responsible authority;
exception process.
Engineering Requirement categories may include:
structural;
geometric;
material;
electrical;
fluid;
thermal;
environmental;
fire;
accessibility;
digital;
robotic;
manufacturing;
lifecycle.
