Section 67 of 102
66. Legacy Component Representation
Stable section ID: S05-CON-007-SECTION-67 · 40 content blocks
A Legacy Component is an existing or non-System05 Component lacking complete standardized identity, Interfaces, capabilities, data, or lifecycle records.
Every Legacy Component shall define:
provisional identity;
known classification;
location;
manufacturer and model where known;
observed geometry;
observed Interfaces;
condition;
known capabilities;
assumed capabilities;
unknown properties;
evidence source;
confidence;
restrictions;
proposed integration method.
Example:
legacy_component Existing_Water_Heater_01 {
id: provisional("legacy:water-heater-01");
location: @Utility_Room;
manufacturer: unknown;
model: unknown;
observed {
fuel_type: natural_gas;
storage_volume: measured(150 L);
cold_water_connection: measured(19 mm);
}
integration: @Legacy_Water_Heater_Gateway;
status: inspection_required;
}
The model shall distinguish:
verified;
observed;
reported;
assumed;
inferred;
unknown.
Legacy geometry and capability shall not be upgraded to certified System05 status through data conversion alone.
An Adapter, gateway, or retrofit Cartridge used for integration shall be represented as a separate Entity.
Unknown safety-critical properties shall block affected automated compatibility or control decisions until resolved.
