8. BDL Boundaries
Stable section ID: S05-CON-007-SECTION-9 · 9 content blocks
BDL shall maintain explicit boundaries with adjacent System05 systems.
BDL and Engineering Compiler BDL expresses the source definition. The Compiler resolves references, evaluates rules, detects conflicts, and produces validated outputs.
BDL and Building BIOS BDL describes intended and recorded configurations. BIOS manages the active installed configuration, state, permissions, and runtime coordination.
BDL and Digital Twin BDL provides semantic definitions and configuration intent. The Digital Twin represents geometry, behavior, state history, and simulation in greater operational detail.
BDL and CAD/BIM BDL may reference geometric models, but graphical objects do not automatically become valid BDL entities without identity and semantics.
BDL and Engineering Analysis BDL supplies inputs, requirements, and references to analysis. It does not replace validated analytical methods.
BDL and Control Software BDL may define control requirements and authority relationships but shall not serve as unrestricted executable control code.
BDL and Robotics BDL may define geometry, task requirements, approach envelopes, and verification conditions. Robot controllers generate and execute motion.
BDL and AI AI may create, analyze, or propose BDL. AI output remains proposed until validated and authorized.
