62. Thermal System Representation

The Thermal System Model shall represent heat generation, storage, transfer, distribution, rejection, resistance, and control.
Thermal Entities may include:
heating equipment;
cooling equipment;
heat pump;
heat exchanger;
thermal storage;
hydronic loop;
air-distribution system;
radiator;
thermal Cartridge;
insulation;
thermal bridge;
controlled Space.
Each Thermal System shall define:
thermal source;
thermal sinks;
transfer medium;
capacity;
temperature range;
flow where applicable;
efficiency;
control Zones;
dependencies;
heat-rejection path;
operating modes.

The model shall distinguish design capacity, available capacity, measured performance, and degraded performance.
