72. Dependency Graph

The Dependency Graph represents the conditions under which one engineering object, decision, calculation, source, or output depends upon another.
Dependencies may include:
source imports;
package dependencies;
type dependencies;
profile dependencies;
geometric dependencies;
configuration dependencies;
calculation dependencies;
evidence dependencies;
certification dependencies;
manufacturing dependencies;
construction-sequence dependencies;
lifecycle dependencies;
- output dependencies.
- Every dependency shall identify its type, direction, scope, version conditions, and criticality.
The compiler shall use the Dependency Graph for incremental compilation, change-impact analysis, cache invalidation, version resolution, and output release control.
Cycles shall be classified. Prohibited cycles shall produce errors, while permitted iterative relationships shall require a deterministic convergence or resolution method.
A change to an upstream object shall invalidate or mark for review every affected downstream result.
Dependency absence shall not automatically mean independence. Domain modules shall declare the information upon which their results rely.
Historical compilation records shall preserve the resolved Dependency Graph required to reproduce the result.
