71. Capability Graph

The Capability Graph represents what each entity offers, requires, permits, restricts, or conditionally supports.
Capabilities may concern:
structural loading;
geometry;
alignment;
movement;
locking;
power;
data;
fluids;
sensing;
fire performance;
environmental resistance;
manufacturing;
robotic handling;
inspection;
maintenance;
replacement;
reuse.
Capability relationships shall identify providers, consumers, conditions, limits, versions, evidence, certification, and lifecycle availability.
The graph shall support capability negotiation between interfaces and components. Compatibility shall require satisfaction of all mandatory capabilities, not merely one shared feature.
Capabilities may be unconditional, conditional, optional, degraded, provisional, expired, or unavailable in the current lifecycle state.
The compiler shall prevent a capability declared for one configuration, environment, orientation, or certified use from being applied universally.
Derived capabilities shall remain traceable to their inputs and evaluation methods.
The Capability Graph may support substitution and optimization by identifying alternative entities that satisfy the required capability set while preserving vendor neutrality.
