70. Interface Connection Graph

The Interface Connection Graph represents every configuration-significant boundary between components, nodes, cartridges, services, software systems, sensors, tools, and machines.
Each connection shall identify:
connected entities;
interface definitions and versions;
mating roles;
required and offered capabilities;
connection state;
locking state;
capacity;
tolerances;
allowed movement;
environmental conditions;
inspection requirements;
evidence and certification.
The graph shall distinguish a potential connection from a selected, installed, inspected, commissioned, or active connection.
Matching interface names or geometries shall not be sufficient to establish compatibility.
Adapters shall appear as explicit engineering entities with two or more governed interfaces. Their structural, geometric, safety, inspection, and lifecycle effects shall not be hidden inside a nominal connection.
The graph shall support identification of orphan interfaces, multiple assignments, prohibited connection combinations, incompatible versions, broken lifecycle dependencies, and unverified locks.
For smart nodes and cartridges, physical connection information may be linked to sensing or signal paths without treating the sensor location as identical to the measured interface location.
