Constitutional Engineering Rules
14.1 Introduction
The constitutional principles established throughout this document define the philosophical and architectural foundations of the System05 platform.
However, practical engineering implementation requires a complementary body of precise, testable, and normative engineering rules.
Accordingly, the System05 platform establishes the Constitutional Engineering Rules as the authoritative engineering requirements governing the design, manufacture, assembly, operation, maintenance, evolution, and verification of System05 engineering assets.
Unlike constitutional principles, which describe the fundamental philosophy of the platform, Constitutional Engineering Rules define mandatory engineering requirements that shall be objectively verifiable.
These rules collectively establish the common engineering language through which independent organizations may develop fully compatible implementations while preserving architectural consistency.
14.2 Constitutional Objectives
The Constitutional Engineering Rules shall:
- Transform constitutional principles into objective engineering requirements.
- Establish measurable engineering compliance.
- Enable independent verification.
- Preserve interoperability.
- Support worldwide engineering consistency.

14.3 Engineering Rule Philosophy

14.9 Relationship with Future Engineering Standards
This constitutional document establishes only the foundational engineering rules required to define the architectural identity of the System05 platform.
Additional engineering rules shall be published as part of the S05-ENG-RULES document series.
These documents may define detailed engineering requirements for specific disciplines without modifying the constitutional architecture established herein.
Future engineering standards shall remain fully traceable to the constitutional principles and engineering rules defined by the System05 platform.
14.10 Constitutional Statement
The Constitutional Engineering Rules establish the normative engineering language of the System05 platform.
While constitutional principles define the philosophy of the platform, Constitutional Engineering Rules define the measurable engineering requirements through which interoperability, safety, quality, lifecycle continuity, digital engineering, manufacturing, robotics, and global compatibility are achieved.
Engineering innovation shall remain unrestricted provided these constitutional rules are preserved.
14.11 Summary
