6.1 Governance
Governance establishes the constitutional framework through which the System05 Engineering Platform is managed, maintained, and continuously evolved. The objective of governance is to preserve the long-term stability of the platform while enabling responsible technological innovation through transparent engineering processes. Governance applies equally to physical standards, digital infrastructure, engineering specifications, software services, certification systems, and future constitutional documents.
The governance model is based upon openness, technical merit, engineering evidence, and constitutional consistency rather than commercial influence or organizational control. Every engineering decision affecting the platform shall be evaluated according to its impact on interoperability, safety, backward compatibility, lifecycle sustainability, and long-term architectural integrity.
Governance further defines the responsibilities of engineers, manufacturers, software developers, certification organizations, researchers, regulatory authorities, and community contributors participating in the System05 ecosystem. Each participant contributes within clearly defined constitutional boundaries while respecting the common engineering architecture.

6.2 Constitutional Governance

Unlike conventional commercial marketplaces, the System05 Marketplace is governed primarily by constitutional engineering compatibility rather than commercial relationships. Every published product shall expose standardized Digital Identities, interface definitions, version information, certification status, Engineering Profiles, lifecycle documentation, and compatibility declarations.
Manufacturers and software developers remain free to innovate independently while benefiting from standardized engineering integration. Users may confidently combine products from multiple vendors because interoperability is governed by constitutional standards rather than proprietary agreements.
The Marketplace also supports lifecycle management by distributing software updates, engineering improvements, certification renewals, AI services, replacement modules, and future engineering capabilities throughout the operational life of buildings.
The Marketplace therefore becomes the commercial extension of the constitutional engineering platform while preserving openness, neutrality, and interoperability.
6.6 SDK
The Software Development Kit (SDK) provides the official engineering tools, libraries, reference implementations, documentation, testing frameworks, and development resources required to create compatible System05 software and intelligent engineering applications.
The SDK standardizes access to Digital Identities, Building BIOS, Engineering Events, Engineering Knowledge Graph, Engineering Compiler, BDL, Digital Twins, AI Services, Configuration Management, and other constitutional platform capabilities. 6.10 Amendment Process
The Amendment Process defines the constitutional procedure through which the System05 Constitution itself may evolve while preserving long-term engineering stability. Constitutional amendments are expected to occur infrequently and only when supported by compelling engineering evidence, broad technical consensus, and demonstrated long-term benefit to the platform.
